Airport Services Training Manager
Legacy Bowes Group - Winnipeg, MB

We are looking for a high energy self-starter who is a committed business professional with a ‘can-do’ attitude and proven training experience. The Airport Services Training Manager will train, motivate, and coach all vendors, customer service staff, and other stakeholders to ensure company standardization and high quality performance. This role will deliver industry-leading safety, operational reliability, and friendly, fun service to NewLeaf’s customers through consistent and extensive training of airport staff, vendors, and other stakeholders. 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • • Develop and lead an exceptional group of team members by fostering commitment, trust, and support to drive team engagement 
  • • Ensure compliance with Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 
  • • Develop a Flight Standards Department budget 
  • • Work collaboratively to develop manuals, policies, and procedures 
  • • Ensure that the inflight team has the tools needed to deliver exceptional operational and service performance 
  • • Ensure that all NewLeaf and regulatory standards and procedures are followed 
  • • Establish and maintain productive relationships with operational and non-operational counterparts (e.g. Airport Services, Flight Operations, Technical Operations, and Crew Resources) 
  • • Manage operational activities above the wing with NewLeaf, Flair, airport authorities, coordinators, and customer service managers 
  • • Manage operational activities below the wing with baggage crew and tow crew 
  • • Coach and provide direction to employees to ensure consistent quality completion of responsibilities 
  • • Perform audits and inspections to ensure all commissary supplies and equipment promote a safe working environment onboard aircraft 
  • • Participate in established and temporary committees as determined by NewLeaf 
SKILLS & ABILITIES 

  • • Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills 
  • • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • • Great time management skills 
  • • Must have a strong customer focus 
  • • Must be able to conduct oneself with the utmost professionalism, confidentiality, and good judgment 
  • • Functions well as a team player but able to work autonomously 
  • • High tolerance to ambiguity 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE 

  • • 3 year’s of training experience 
  • • 3 year’s experience leading a team 
  • • Bachelor’s degree would be considered an asset 
  • • Airline experience would be considered an asset
