Training Manager

Our Calgary Head Office location is seeking an experienced Training Manager to support our diverse operations.

Main Functions:
The Training Manager is responsible for developing, administering, and implementing the Fuel, Ramp, Ground Handling, Customer Service and De-icing programs. This position will provide oversight to all of our sites and ensure all bases are adhering to and training to the same standards company wide.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and enhance all aspects of the existing Fuel, Ramp, Ground Handling, Customer Service and De-icing programs within the company.
  • Train all supervisors on company material and on how to train new employees and develop in house train the trainer programs.
  • Establish and lead high-performance teams in both the fueling and ground handling departments.
  • Plan, design and perform training according to the standards set by Executive Flight Centre.
  • Perform audits on training records, handling, safety and security as required.
  • Interact with airline personnel (trainers) to ensure EFC is following their specific company procedures.
  • Communicate changes to staff in policy, procedures, products, services, or any other alterations that affect delivery of fueling, ramp, customer service, ground handling and de-icing procedures.
  • Assist with the recruitment of new personnel as required.
  • Work closely with our safety and quality control department to ensure best practises are implemented and adhered to.
  • Interact with all base managers/supervisors and leads to ensure they understand the training curriculum and responsibilities of administering both re-current and new hire training.
  • Able to travel as required to all EFC and customer bases, as planned or last minute.
  • Maintain a tidy and orderly work area exhibiting pride in work performance and contributing to a healthy and safe work environment.
  • Ensure exceptional, courteous and respectful customer service through compliance and participation in the Company’s Step Up to Customer Service Program.
  • Comply with and participate in the Company’s Health & Safety and Quality programs and initiatives.
  • Perform any other duties as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Completion of a certificate or diploma in a related field an asset.
  • Experience in teaching and training new hire personnel in a classroom or on the job environment.
  • Previous experience as a fuel and/or ramp trainer is an asset.
  • Experience in a management roll an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of TP312 – 5th Edition is an asset.
  • Strong people skills and the ability to build strong working relationships.
  • Ability to lead a team which produces positives results and attitude in the workplace.
  • Able to obtain a RAIC security clearance.
  • Clean Driver’s Abstract is required.
  • Strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills.
  • Able to work well under pressure.
  • Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills.
  • Professional, punctual, meticulous and diligent.
  • Able to work collaboratively as a productive member of the EFC Team.
