The Deputy Program Manager will be responsible for the management and execution of programs and systems to ensure the effective promotion and awareness of safety and the reporting of incidents at the airside of the private aviation facilities at the airports assigned to him/her. He/she will report to the ASO Program Manager.

Duties
Assists the ASO Program Manager in ensuring compliance with ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs), as well as other rules and regulations that pertain to safety as required for a commercially certificated airport in Saudi Arabia;
· Assists the ASO Program Manager in developing and implementing Apron SOPs to ensure the efficient operation and optimum safety of all operations;
· Devises, coordinates, interprets and enforces rules and regulations concerning apron operations and safety;
· Provides leadership and supervision of the Airside Operations department, including training, planning, organizing, staffing, and directing Airside Operations staff; manages, through subordinate staff, the airside facilities;
· Responds to employee complaints and grievances; evaluates the performance of subordinate and discusses results with Program Manager; reviews evaluations of department staff for consistency and conformance to ASO policies;
· Oversees the inspection of airside and related ground operations for proper maintenance and safety conditions; ensures that the facility continually operates under certification requirements and applicable regulations;
· Oversees the gate assignment program and the enforcement of aircraft parking; ensures that it is monitored and in conformance with all applicable regulations and ordinances; initiates corrective action;
· Maintains liaison with the Airport Operator’s administration, air traffic control tower and certification inspectors, FBOs, airport tenants and others;
· Prepares and recommends annual and long-term plans, programs, and budgets to the Program Manager;
· Performs related duties as assigned by the Program Manager.
Abilities
The Deputy Airside Manager – Inspection and Maintenance will possess the ability to perform the following tasks:
· Plan, assign and monitor work assignments, conduct formal performance evaluations and administer disciplinary measures according to established procedures
· Organize and direct the work of multiple staff in a complex operating environment
· Collaborate with FBOs and other airport stakeholders.
· Manage and motivate employees from diverse professional backgrounds, educational levels, specializations and affiliations
· Make effective decisions regarding airside operations during intense or emergency related situations
· Listen and communicate effectively.
· Exercise tact, self-restraint, judgment and strategy in dealing with a variety of individuals and stakeholders
· Write clear, concise and grammatically correct reports, memoranda, directives, and letters to inform tenants, staff and others of airside policies and procedures and other pertinent matters
· Organize time, personnel and equipment to achieve objectives such as quality assurance and the implementation of safety and security measures
Education and Knowledge
The Deputy Airside Manager – Inspection and Maintenance will possess education and experience reflecting possession of the following knowledge, skills and abilities:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a minimum bachelor's degree
· At least two to three years of supervisory experience
· Perfectly fluent in English, both spoken and written (proficiency in Arabic is an advantage)
ASO will provide additional theoretical and on-the-job training as required.
