FUNCTION: Reporting to the Manager, In-Flight Services, this position is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of Porter passengers. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Flight attendant duties will include, but not be limited to the following duties:
  • Provide friendly and attentive service demonstrating Porter values
  • Explain and demonstrate safety procedures
  • Monitor the general condition of the aircraft cabin
  • Attend to the safety of the passengers at all times
  • Actively participate in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS) including, reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understand, comply and promote the Company Safety Policy
  • Follow proper working procedures including all Standard Operating Procedures
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor and Manager, In-Flight Services

QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • Fluency in English plus one other language. French is a preferred asset
  • Completion of secondary school. Travel school is a preferred asset
  • Flight attendants require a minimum of 2 years previous experience working with the public in a customer service role
  • Minimum of 19 years of age at time of employment
  • Canadian citizenship or landed immigrant status (in possession of a permanent resident card) with the ability to travel without restriction
  • Ability to obtain necessary security clearances and successfully complete company screening process
  • Neat appearance and well groomed
  • Flight attendants may be called to work at short notice and therefore must be able to reach the airport within the 2 hour of callout
  • Must be able to work a flexible work schedule, including weekends and holidays
  • First Aid and CPR certification an asset.
  • Ability to meet required medical standard
