FUNCTION: Reporting to the Manager, In-Flight Services, this position is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of Porter passengers.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Flight attendant duties will include, but not be limited to the following duties:
- Provide friendly and attentive service demonstrating Porter values
- Explain and demonstrate safety procedures
- Monitor the general condition of the aircraft cabin
- Attend to the safety of the passengers at all times
- Actively participate in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS) including, reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understand, comply and promote the Company Safety Policy
- Follow proper working procedures including all Standard Operating Procedures
- Any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor and Manager, In-Flight Services

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Fluency in English plus one other language. French is a preferred asset
- Completion of secondary school. Travel school is a preferred asset
- Flight attendants require a minimum of 2 years previous experience working with the public in a customer service role
- Minimum of 19 years of age at time of employment
- Canadian citizenship or landed immigrant status (in possession of a permanent resident card) with the ability to travel without restriction
- Ability to obtain necessary security clearances and successfully complete company screening process
- Neat appearance and well groomed
- Flight attendants may be called to work at short notice and therefore must be able to reach the airport within the 2 hour of callout
- Must be able to work a flexible work schedule, including weekends and holidays
- First Aid and CPR certification an asset.
- Ability to meet required medical standard
