Posting – Noise Information Officer (part-time, contract)
The YVR Noise Office is looking for a Noise Information Officer (part-time, contract) to assist with aircraft noise complaint handling and data processing.
This role will involve the following responsibilities:
Log, investigate, and respond to noise questions and concerns from the public
Download and process data
Review and correct run-up logs
Monitor night approvals
Report on weekly and monthly noise complaint stats
Key qualifications include:
Knowledge of airport and aircraft operations
Good computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Word and Excel
o Proficiency in Microsoft Access an asset
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to handle conflicts and difficult conversations
Experience working with large datasets
Ability to learn new software
Ability to work 10-15 hours a week (Mon-Fri business hours)
