Posting – Noise Information Officer (part-time, contract)

The YVR Noise Office is looking for a Noise Information Officer (part-time, contract) to assist with aircraft noise complaint handling and data processing.

This role will involve the following responsibilities:
 Log, investigate, and respond to noise questions and concerns from the public
 Download and process data
 Review and correct run-up logs
 Monitor night approvals
 Report on weekly and monthly noise complaint stats



Key qualifications include:
 Knowledge of airport and aircraft operations
 Good computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Word and Excel
o Proficiency in Microsoft Access an asset
 Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
 Ability to handle conflicts and difficult conversations
 Experience working with large datasets
 Ability to learn new software
 Ability to work 10-15 hours a week (Mon-Fri business hours)
