Airline System Coordinator
Sunwing Airlines 
 - Toronto, ON

Reporting to the Manager, Flight Operations Systems & Integration, the Airline System Coordinator will support the AIMS Flight Operations system and all of its components. The incumbent with work closely with end users to troubleshoot and/or resolve issues, address concerns, and ensure their business needs are met.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide excellent customer service including responding to airline operations requests with a solution generating approach
  • Conducting analysis of company and AIMS user need and present recommendations
  • Assist with the development and enhancements of the AIMS system
  • Participate in projects that rely on AIMS data as an AIMS subject matter expert
  • Conduct user/crew training for the AIMS applications
  • Ensure the effective operation of the AIMS system
  • Coordinate IT system support services
  • Perform tests and evaluation of the AIMS system to ensure integrity of data
  • Coordinate with vendor to report issues, develop solutions and test solutions
  • Ensure all updates are installed and tested for bugs/errors
  • Track issues and resolution process and report on a weekly basis
  • Document functional requirements
  • Ability to work on multiple projects with multiple deadlines
  • Other duties as assigned by the Manager, Flight Operations Systems & Integration
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • College/University degree in an Airline, Business and/or IT field or relevant combination of education
  • Understanding of airline industry including airline operations, business processes, related regulatory requirements and technology particularly AIMS
  • Demonstrated knowledge in the use of computer applications
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with competing priorities
  • Demonstrated commitment to internal customer service
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; courteous telephone manner
  • Demonstrated organizational, problem solving, planning, and administrative skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work well under pressure, work independently, be flexible, reliable, and prioritize workload
  • Airline industry experience is an asset as well as experience working in a unionized environment
  • Ability to multi-task and able to meet deadlines within a time-sensitive environment
  • Able to follow direction and work with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of AIMS Crew Scheduling Applications is an asset
