About the job
Reporting to the Manager, Program Innovation and Reporting, the Analyst, Program Innovation and Reporting is responsible for supporting all divisions within CATSA, and in particular the Operations Branch, by gathering, analyzing and reporting on CATSA’s operational performance and related metrics.
The key responsibilities include:
assisting in the development of performance indicators to measure and report operational performance.
performing detailed analytical and evaluative review of operational data and metrics.
assisting in the design and coordination of operational quantitative studies and trials.
analyzing and interpreting data and information collected during trials and studies and prepare reports and presentations to summarize findings.
providing statistical support to all branches, identifying trends and possible areas for improvement and areas of excellent performance to facilitate targeting resources to risk.
What you need to succeed
To qualify for the position, you must have:
Graduation from a recognized college or university with a specialization in mathematics, statistics, computer science or a specialty related to the duties of the position;
A minimum of two (2) years of experience with quantitative and qualitative evaluation methods;
A minimum of two (2) years of experience with data analysis, performance measurement methods, statistical concepts and reporting techniques;
Experience analyzing business issues and providing recommendations to management;
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite of applications including advanced Microsoft Excel skills;
Skills and abilities
Superior skills in research, analysis and problem-solving accompanied by an ability to synthesize and interpret complex information;
Strong quantitative analysis skills and a good understanding of the principles of statistics;
Ability to perform well under pressure, work on multiple projects simultaneously, adapt to change, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
Ability to draft clear and concise briefing notes and presentations with attention to detail;
Ability to communicate effectively (orally and in writing);
Ability to prioritize and plan work;
