Regional Coordinator, Screening Technology (YYZ)

About the job
Reporting to the Manager, Equipment Logistics, the Regional Coordinator, Screening Technology is responsible for the ongoing technology logistical support for equipment deployment, relocation, disposal as well as common look and feel check point item support and utilization. The incumbent is responsible for working in partnership with the Regional Leader, Screening Technology and local Service Delivery personnel to provide both local and regional airport support of ongoing screening operations, corporate initiatives and projects, as well as corrective/preventive equipment maintenance scheduling. The Regional Coordinator will provide technical oversight and support for equipment and software upgrades and enhancements. The incumbent will generate progress updates reports and other reports for headquarters as required. The Regional Coordinator, Screening Technology performs all other duties and responsibilities related to the position as required.
What you need to succeed
To qualify for the position, you must have:
  • Graduation from a recognized college or university with specialization in technology, engineering, or another specialty relevant to the duties of the position or equivalent experience;
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a technology environment overseeing equipment;
  • A minimum of two (2) years of maintenance experience involving screening technology or similar complex electrical /mechanical equipment;
  • Experience collaborating with stakeholders, including equipment manufacturers/suppliers, and facility owners;
  • Experience planning and overseeing a schedule and project tracking activities;
  • Knowledge of root cause failure analysis of equipment;
  • Knowledge of logistics management practices and principles;
  • Knowledge of airport operations and the airline industry will be considered an asset;
  • Language Profile: English Essential

  • Ability to liaise effectively and influence and motivate various audiences;
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, multi-task and work cross functionally throughout the organization; strong organizational skills;
  • Ability to work independently, and with self-motivation and initiative without direct supervision
  • Ability to troubleshoot and propose creative solutions;
  • Ability to analyze and provide recommendations
