Job Description:
The Operations Manager
will be the official day to day contact, administrator and liaison person with
the GTAA representative in all matters involving the services expected to be
performed. The OPS Manager will be responsible for the program planning and the
provision of a contingency plan for labour disputes.
The Operations Manager
will be responsible for:

Onsite
day to day operations ensuring consistent and proper implementation of
processes
·
Maintain
oversight of the frontline employees and report directly to the GTAA
Representative
·
Keep
daily records of incidents, events, disciplinary or administrative actions
taken, problems encountered, general comments and or suggestions with respect
to the operation
·
Ensure
that all staff comply with all applicable airport safety, security, and
operational procedures and regulations
·
Investigate
all complaints in timely manner and take immediate and appropriate disciplinary
action
·
Ensure
all staff arrives on duty with the appropriate uniform and possess and display
a current RAIC (if applicable) and a GTAA approved name tag while on duty on
airport property
·
Have
in their possession a cellular phone or other approved means for communication
with the GTAA Representative and/or the Integrated Communication Centre (ICC)
during normal business hours while in the performance of their duties and
provide a 24-hour contact phone number
·
Ensure
invoices for existing services, quotes for additional services, and reports
(when requested) are provided in a timely manner to the GTAA Representative
·
Ensure
that all the posts are fully staffed unless properly relieved
·
Maintain
a close liaison with City Court authorities for the court dates and other legal
matters as necessary

Prerequisites:
At the time of the
interview, applicants must be able to produce proof of completion of the
following:

Successful
completion of University degree or College diploma;
·
Five
(5) years of management experience; preferably in an Airport environment.
·
Must
be eligible for a Transport Canada Security Clearance, RAIC, holds a
certificate in a recognized GTAA Customer Service Training Program
·
Ability
to effectively communicate in English (both oral and written form).

Level C
2. Successful completion
of Use of Force
3. Successful completion
of Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
4. Successful completion
of Basic Security Training
5. Successful completion
of Paladin’s online WHMIS
6. Successful completion
of Paladin’s online Customer Service
