Airport Systems & Special Operations SupervisorSunwing Airlines - Toronto, ON

The Airport Systems & Special Operations Supervisor will be responsible for strategic implementation and optimization of Airport-specific systems. This will include DCS, baggage tracing software, and Airport FID interfaces network-wide, encompassing all aspects of set-up, preparation, monitoring, control and user support. The successful candidate will also be responsible in all aspects of Special Operations within the Airport Services Department.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage installation of the DCS with local entities
  • Provide 24/7 user support for airports and internal departments, including all system access, training flight management and all other system or support related duties as assigned
  • Provide training to stations and internally as needed on various authority levels, such as agents, supervisors, and administrators
  • Building flight schedules and standardized flight preparation/editing/control for each station
  • Management of all system access for Airline Choice stations
  • Build flights for all stations within Airline Choice
  • Build and prepare training flights for all stations, as needed
  • Troubleshooting and first level system support
  • Manage IRROPS/flight disruptions in Airline Choice
  • DCS outage – coordinate station processes as required
  • Flight monitoring - Ensuring check-in activity and Flight preparations are properly conducted
  • Internal and external reporting, statistical data collection and historical data retrieval
  • Station liaison for negative passenger vetting result resolution
  • Post flight processing and reporting including investigation of non-compliance reports
  • Integrating self service within the DCS, such as Kiosks and SSBDs
  • Coordination and deployment of Mishandled baggage tracing software
  • Assist with booking trips/securing payment, arranging customer catering and transportation needs, and active customer flight monitoring.
  • Generate trip itineraries, research fuel pricing, arranging Customs and Immigration on international trips as required
  • Arrange services with third party Ground Handlers, FBO, Security Companies when required
  • Arrange pre-flight Customer’s travel requirements (Travel Documentation)
  • Liaison with different government agencies such as CBSA, USCBP, TSA, Civil Aviation offices in different countries
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients and service providers
  • Coordinate charter requirements with other departments included but not limited to Catering, Maintenance, OCC, Crew Scheduling, and Accounting
  • Travel as necessary prior to or with the charter operations
  • Assist with all Air Import/Export freight activities, including quotation, booking, documentation, data entry, shipment tracking and tracing, billing, arranging deliveries, among other responsibilities.
  • Responsible to generate Quality, Inventory, and Statistics reports to different departments within the Airlines
  • Travel as required to meet vendors for training and QA purposes
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Post graduate education preferred in aviation or three (3) years of experience in Airline/Airport Ground Operations
  • Proven analytical and organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and reporting skills
  • Excellent computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office applications
  • Second language such as Spanish or French is considered an asset

  • Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
  • Works independently with guidance from Manager.
  • Works closely with Operations and vendors and must adapt to different communication styles
  • Capable to work in fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
  • Able to Travel.
