The Documentation & Process Specialist will be responsible for the documentation and workflows of all Airport Services processes and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory authorities, internal and external stakeholders, and accurate communication to of policies to service partners and customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- You will ensure the Ground Handling Manual (GHM) is comprehensive, up to date and consistent with other operational manuals that support the objective of operating safe, compliant, efficient and customer focused Airport Services. Liaising closely with various stakeholders (including, Flight Operations, Inflight Services, Tour Operations, Safety and Security), you will seek feedback, make regular improvements and revisions to procedures and manuals and publish these to internal and external users where necessary and in accordance with documented controls.
- You will provide and manage a comprehensive library of all Airport Services departmental publications and procedures keeping them up to date.
- You will work closely with the Training Manager to ensure any change of procedure is included into departmental training material.
- You will produce and manage all process related bulletins and memos taking action to ensure all 3rd party suppliers remain compliant at all times.
- You will ensure the company website correctly reflects the procedures and products which impacts our airport services.
- You will oversee the development and publication of seasonal Wet-Lease Differences guides and work closely with wet lease partner airlines.
- You will ensure audits are updated to reflect any change in procedure.
- You will proactively identify new procedures and alignment opportunities, undertake active continuous improvement as well as carry out any required audits as part of the Airport Services oversight programme, managing any findings with the relevant stakeholders.
- You will assist in the completion and communication of quarterly Airport Services Newsletters.
- You will manage all external and internal distribution channels to ensure compliance to Sunwing procedures.
- Finally, you will undertake projects and any other reasonable tasks as and when required by the business.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to obtain a Transport Canada Security Clearance Mandatory
- Post Secondary Education
- Excellence in spoken and written English (Other languages (Spanish/French) an asset)
- Knowledge of procedural writing
- Thorough understanding and operational knowledge of the airline industry, including practical experience of airline operations
- Ability to meet short deadlines
- Ability to organize and prioritize, including Multi-tasking and time management
- Attention to detail
- Maintain confidentiality at all times
- Operate specific department/company software applications
ENVIRONMENT AND SCOPE:
- Deadline oriented work environment having to review and update hard-copy & electronic manuals in a timely fashion.
- Works independently with guidance from Manager.
- Works closely with Operations and vendors and must adapt to different communication styles
- Fast paced, dynamic, highly productive department
- Flexibility to adapt and able to manage multiple assignments while working independently or as a team.
