Pacific Coastal Airlines has an exciting new opportunity in the Flight Operations department in the role of permanent full-time Crew Scheduler/Unlicensed Dispatcher. This position is based out of the Pacific Coastal Airlines head office in the South Terminal building at the Vancouver International Airport in Richmond.
Reporting to the Director, Operations Control and Crew Planning, the Crew Scheduler/Unlicensed Dispatcher is responsible for the daily maintaining of our flight crew schedule; crew re-assignments, administering payroll, and acting as an Unlicensed Dispatcher when required.
The duties include, but are not limited to:
- Completing flight crew payroll including answering payroll discrepancies and preparing monthly Crew Pay reports for review;
- Assigning and reassigning crews to meet daily operational requirements and communicating same with Flight Crew and Dispatch colleagues;
- Liaising and communicating with all Flight Crew in all matters pertaining to crew schedules including block change advisories;
- Flight following when necessary;
- maintain flight watch
- monitor radios and maintain radio logs
- assist licensed dispatchers with flight plans, maintenance liaising, fuel ordering

To succeed, candidates must have proven communication and organizational skills. The candidate must also demonstrate superb internal customer service skills, be comfortable in stressful conditions and be a self-starter. Must be able to work flexible hours and willing to work weekends.
Qualifications & Experience
- A minimum of 2 years Airlines experience - previous crew scheduling experience would be preferred
- Must be effective in oral and written communications, time management and problem-solving skills
- Must possess strong computer processing skills. AmeliaCrew experience an asset
- Must be able to work well with others
- Knowledge of CARS and current Pilot Employment Practices Manual are considered an asset
- Ambition to obtain (or already possess) Transport Canada Dispatch License
