We are currently hiring an individual for the role of Performance Managers at the Ottawa International Airport.

Reporting to the Human Resources Adviser, the Performance Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:

Operational Efficiency and Effectiveness

  • Assess, observe, investigate, record, and if required coach individuals Screening Officer’s performance and compliance with CATSA’s SOPs and GardaWorld’s Quality Management System.
  • Intervene and coach/correct immediately if parts of the screening process were not completed or if critical aspects of the screening process were performed incorrectly.
  • Investigate and address all CATSA or GardaWorld performance events.
  • Conduct all internal investigations including but not limited to breach, infiltration tests, security events, human resources events (examples include harassment cases), training events, professional conduct events and attendance events.
  • Issue discipline including verbal warning, one/three/five day suspensions, as per internal and Collective Agreement processes.
  • Provide recommendations to Human Resources department as required for work performance related termination.
  • Provide nominees for GardaStars and Top Gun programs.
  • Periodic travel to the Prairie’s Class 2 and Class Other airports.
  • Other duties as required.

Relationship Management
  • Act as liaison with CASTA and Learning and Development teams (specifically NTCP).
  • Collaborate with other members of the Performance Programs team, Operations team and Human Resources team to foster synergy in employee training experiences
