Positions Available: Casual
Location: Edmonton, Alberta
Responsibilities
  • Works in aircraft aisles and galleys; standing, reaching, walking, kneeling, stooping, and sitting during takeoff and landing
  • Strictly enforces emergency and safety procedures consistent with all Transport Canada regulations and company policies/procedures
  • Coordinates on-board processes with In-charge Flight Attendant, when applicable
  • Provides leadership, direction, and assistance during emergencies and every day operations.
  • Reports any and all activities which could adversely affect passenger safety to appropriate flight personnel
  • Operates safety and emergency equipment including stairs, oxygen systems, aircraft doors, evacuation slides, fire extinguishers, galley equipment, communications equipment, and lighting systems
  • Delivers exceptional customer service while performing pre-flight and in-flight duties, including serving beverages/food with a smile
  • Willingness to go the extra mile for our valued customers.
Requirements
  • Previous flight attendant experience is a requirement
  • Must be 19 years or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must hold a Canadian Passport or a Canadian Permanent Resident Card
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC) security clearance. This requires a 5-year traceable history and clear criminal record. This is not a requirement to apply, but will be requirement in ongoing employment
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Ability to work rotating shift work, weekends, holidays, and travel on a consistent basis, with possible overnights away from home
  • Ability to perform physical duties as outlined, such as pushing and pulling 50 pounds, lifting 20 pounds overhead
  • Must successfully meet pre-employment drug & alcohol testing requirements and pass on-going random tests
  • Fluency in both English and French is an asset.
  • Must complete a 3 week training program.
Work Conditions/Schedule
  • This position will involve frequent travel, irregular hours, working weekends, and the need for schedule flexibility.
