YVR Project Management (YVRPM) is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Vancouver Airport Authority that was established in 2005 to oversee major expansion projects at YVR and has a reputation for delivering projects on time and on budget.

YVRPM has a permanent, full-time opportunity for a Documents Clerk. Reporting to the Executive Assistant to the President, YVRPM, the successful candidate will administer shop drawings and documentation, including preparation for internal and external transmittals, along with document review, processing and tracking.


Key responsibilities include:
  • Assist Project Managers in preparing project approval documentation
  • Prepare content for procurement approval documents as required
  • Administer drawing package distribution; collect and consolidate comments using BlueBeam, including processing and tracking
  • Administer shop drawings and documentation, including preparation for internal and external transmittals, along with document review, processing and tracking
  • Process building permit documentation for new projects (copy drawings and documentation for distribution, Letter of Assurance)
  • Administrative Support for projects including; maintain office files including correspondence, meeting minutes, contract and procurement documents, drawings, specifications and other project related documentation
  • Provide back-up support to the Executive Assistant as required
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities consistent with the position description and classification on request
Key qualifications include:
  • 5 years of recent, related experience, supplemented by at least one year of post-secondary schooling; or an equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Attention to detail in processing high volumes of paperwork and email correspondence
  • Solid organizational and multitasking skills with a willingness to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Good analytical skills and ability to exercise sound judgment
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize in a changing environment
  • Proven ability to exercise confidentiality and discretion
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Project, Word, Outlook, and Excel)
  • Experience with project/construction management software an asset
  • Experience or exposure to construction industry also an asset
