We have a permanent, full-time opportunity for a Retail Financial Analyst in the Commercial Services Department.
Key responsibilities include:
The successful candidate will provide solid financial analysis services on all retail and services concession programs by:
- Preparing the terminal concession annual budget forecast
- Evaluating existing concessionaire sales and revenue performance
- Executing financial evaluations of all new retail opportunities
- Recommending opportunities to improve revenue performance based on current trends on a consistent basis
- Developing presentations for the Airport Authority and tenants regarding financial results and recommendations for improved sales performance
- Developing and evaluating benchmarking criteria in the retail and services portfolio against other airports’ performance and other industry trends
- Supporting negotiation of financial rent structures with existing tenants
- Preparing the Commercial Leasing Analysis document together with full financial analysis of Request for Proposals and recommendations
- Preparing board briefing notes
- Two years of recent, related experience in financial analysis (retail financial analysis is an asset), supplemented by a business degree (MBA and/or a CFA designation are assets); or an equivalent combination of training and experience
- Hands-on budgeting experience
- Extensive financial and statistical modelling capabilities
- Experience in leasing, evaluating and recommending proposals including development of a commercial leasing analysis
- Proven track record in the coordination and completion of multiple tasks and projects
- Knowledge of, and experience in, retail rent structures and customer spend patterns is an asset
- Must have excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong computer skills, including MS Word, Excel and Access
