Webster Memorial Trophy

What is the Webster?

A Webster Competitor is an Amateur Pilot with a Professional Attitude.  The Webster Memorial Trophy Competition is an annual event intended to declare the “top amateur pilot in Canada.”

Who Can Compete?
The competition is open to any Canadian citizen, British subject, or landed immigrant who holds a valid Canadian private or commercial pilot licence. Anyone who has used their licence for hire or reward within the last five years, who has received flight instruction through the Canadian Armed Forces (except Air Cadets), or who has previously won the competition cannot compete.

Why Compete?
Besides becoming the top amateur pilot in Canada for 2011, the winner will also receive a bronze Webster Medallion, an Air Canada pass for two anywhere on their system, a framed print depicting John Webster’s aircraft personally signed by Robert Bradford, a professional development day with the Snowbirds, a deluxe Sennheiser headset, and other exciting prizes.

Where is the Competition Held?
Regional Competitions are held in 9 regions across Canada. The nine Regional Finalists then compete in the National Finals, whcih will be held in Quebec City in August 2011.
