Sunwing is recruiting a Crew Scheduler for the Planning and Scheduling department in Toronto, reporting to the Manager, Crew Scheduling and Planning.
Crew Schedulers are responsible to the Crew Scheduling and Planning Manager to monitor the daily and monthly requirements for Pilots and Cabin Crew, as well as any related duties.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensuring that safety is the primary objective by adhering to the Sunwing safety policy and utilizing the appropriate safety reporting program in order to identify and communicate all known hazards and risks to the organization.
• Ensuring continual improvement through the periodic review of documented processes.
• Monitoring the daily operations.
• Ensure legal and timely staffing of all flights in relation to the government regulations and the Sunwing working conditions.
• Ensure legal and timely staffing of all deployed flights in relation to the CARS, EU ops and CAP 371 as well as the Sunwing working conditions.
• Evaluate irregular operations and make effective scheduling decisions.
• Communicate with all crewmembers in relation to their daily and monthly schedules.
• Provide reports for various departments.
• Keep the crew related computer software, (AIMS), up to date.
• Any other tasks assigned by their manager.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Familiarity with airline flight operations
• Ability to multi-task in a high-stress environment
• Understanding of associated government and regulatory requirements
• An energetic, creative thinker with strong communication skills
• Organizational and time management skills
• Computer software knowledge a must. (AIMS, Word, Outlook, and Excel) are definite assets
• Excellent administrative skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Flexibility and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Great team player
• Able to work different shift patterns
• Must have, or have the ability to, obtain a valid passport
