Sunwest Aviation Ltd. currently has an opportunity available for Customer Service & Commissary Representative. Reporting to the Flight Logistics Manager this position is responsible for performing the duties and responsibilities which include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Answer phones promptly, in a professional manner and direct calls appropriately (average of 300 calls/day)
• Daily maintenance of lobby and stocking shelves and cupboards
• Passenger check-in for morning flights, including modifying required changes and advising Flight Coordinators
• Sort incoming mail as required and stamp outgoing mail; Courier out (Inner City) packages for Internal Staff
• Sign in visitors to the facility
• Pick up Tim Horton’s order for flights, Monday and Friday only
• Various administrative duties (e.g. creating documents; labels; special projects)
• Maintain several spreadsheets and phone lists; Track all outgoing and incoming packages off flights
• Order all business cards for employees
• Maintain stock at reception desk and commissary; Update reception manual
• Coordinate with vendors for delivery, purchase and pick up of regularly stocked items from various stores
• Telephone ordering of standard items from vendors as required; Online ordering of standard items from vendors as required
• Re-stock cabinets with regular stock for aircraft daily
• Stock and organize items on the shelf including regular rotation of stock
• Perform inventory of the main cabinets at main location and 11th St. location once a week
• Verify and approve invoices and submit expenses for reimbursement
• Wash and iron fleece blankets and pillows on a regular basis via an external laundry service
• Other related duties as required
The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications and competencies. In addition personality profiling will be required of all candidates granted an interview for this position.
• High School Diploma
• Minimum 1 year of Customer Service and Reception experience on a multi-line switchboard is required
• Meridian switchboard experience is an asset; Must be comfortable using the paging system
• Prior purchasing experience is an asset, particularly in dealing with vendors
• General knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
• Self-motivated and ability to take initiative; Attention to detail is very important
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; Excellent customer service skills
• Friendly and efficient telephone etiquette; Professional appearance
• Excellent multi-tasking abilities are required; Good organizational and time management skills
• Team player
• Must be able to be report for shift in a timely fashion (Monday-Friday; 5:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.)
