Position Title: Manager, Corporate and Emergency Response Training

General: The Manager, Corporate and Emergency Response Training will be responsible for developing and implementing our Corporate Training Program and for maintaining our Emergency Response Plan in a state of organizational preparedness.

Responsibilities:

• Actively participate in the Company’s Safety Management System program and demonstrate knowledge of employee responsibilities regarding safety
• Develop and implement our corporate training program
o Succession training
o Life cycle of training
• Work with department heads to ensure training program accuracy
• Build and facilitate corporate training packages, including Train the Trainer material, as required
• Track and ensure all regulated training complies with Transport Canada and IATA standards
• Maintain corporate training records
• Oversee the current online training program (Assent)
• Further develop and maintain continuous improvement of our Emergency Response Program through tabletop exercises, redefinition of roles and responsibilities as required and keeping the Emergency Response Manual current
• Assist Department Directors in their responsibility to run exercises
• Represent Canadian North regarding matters related to airport authorities and emergency planning committees
• Foster the development of emergency management professionals within the airline 

Qualifications:

• Experience developing and implementing training programs
• Proven interpersonal skills in dealing with both external and internal customers
• A high level of organizational, management and planning skills
• A high degree of self motivation and commitment to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Strong ability to motivate employees to learn and apply skills
• Experience in an airport operational environment considered a definite asset
• Experience Technical Writing considered a definite asset
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites or similar applications considered a definite asset
• Experience in planning and conducting emergency response exercises a definite asset
• A high level of IATA and IOSA regulations as they relate to emergency preparedness
