SUMMARY
- Coordinates all operations relating to aircraft loading/unloading activities; provides leadership to cargo handlers and operational and personnel support. May perform job duties and responsibilities required of a courier, cargo handler and/or dispatcher.
- Lead ramp and sort operations and provides technical support for cargo handling employees.
- Ensures that all established procedures are followed.
- Ensures compliance with all Canadian customs requirements.
- Computes proper weight and balance on aircraft for each flight, as assigned.
- Maintain all mandatory training.
•Canadian high school/educational equivalent.
•One (1) year experience/training in aircraft ground support equipment/aircraft operations.
•Must possess a valid full driver's licence and good driving record.
•Ability to successfully complete all required basic training and maintain accreditation through yearly recurrency training, i.e. GSE administrator and operator permit, DG Specialist certified, W & B certification, etc.
•Ability to prepare and process Canadian customs paperwork.
•Demonstrated proficiency in basic level MS Word and Excel
•Good understanding of FedEx products, features of service, general operations.
•Loading/unloading procedures preferred.
•Excellent human relations, customer relations, and communication skills.
•Good analytical, problem solving, prioritization and organizational skills.
•Ability to lift 70 lbs. and to manoeuvre any package weighing 150 lbs. with appropriate equipment or assistance of another person.
•Must be able to pass R.C.M.P. assessment.
LOCATION
These are permanent part time positions located at 24 Aero Dr. NE, Calgary, AB
SHIFT REQUIREMENTS
· Schedule is based on business needs and maybe subject to change.
· Must possess a flexible availability to accomodate various shifts.
AM position: Sun 00:01 to 05:00, Mon 02:30 to 11:00, Tues to Thur 04:30 to 11:00, Days off: Fridays and Saturdays
PM position: Sun 00:01 to 05:00 or 15:00 to 23:00 (TBD), Tues to Fri 16:00-22:30, Days off: Mondays and Saturdays
· The schedule will include vacation coverage, sick calls and any other business requirements.
STARTING WAGE: $22.53 per hour.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
The successful candidates will be offered a job with FedEx Express based on the successful completion of a series of interviews and a clean valid drivers' abstract and criminal record.
