SunWing is currently recruiting for a Crew Travel Coordinator based in Toronto, ON.
Responsibilities:
• Manage air, hotel, and ground transportation reservations and re-confirmations for operational crew travel;
• Actively communicate with Crew Travel Supervisor to ensure crew travel arrangements meet the legality requirements of Collective Agreements and the Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARS);
• Actively communicate with Crew Travel Supervisor to ensure mandated service and efficiency levels are met;
• Ensure crew members have complete and accurate itineraries prior to departure from home base at commencement of pairing;
• Ensure all travel information is reflected accurately in crew members’ schedule;
• Ensure all travel data is entered accurately into the Travel Works database on a daily basis;
• Reconcile invoices;
• Assist other departments with research involving travel requirements when requested;
• Maintain proficiency in the use of specialized travel , accounting and other relevant software;
• Identify scheduling issues and concerns and communicating them to Crew Travel Supervisor;
• Be an active and supportive team member within the Operational Control Centre;
• Perform duties in accordance with established policies and procedures while giving primary consideration to personal safety, the safety of co-workers, and customers;
• Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 3 years retail travel experience;
• Proficiency in Amadeus GDS system; experience with Travel Works would be an asset;
• Must be organized, task oriented, and possess excellent attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook;
• Working with a sense of urgency;
• Fluent in English both written and verbal. Proficiency in other languages would be an asset;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers while exercising high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy;
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time and continuously perform the essential job functions;
• Ability to work well under pressure;
• Ability to work a modified schedule of 12-hour day shifts, alternating 4 days on and 4 days off.
