New Posting - Carson Air

The Carson Group of Companies consists of approximately 10 companies in the aviation and aviation related industry, and are currently recruiting Medevac Manager (Vancouver base).

Reporting to the Chief Pilot, the Medevac Manager is a member of the mid-management team and provides direct management, supervision and leadership to the safe direction of the Medevac flight operation. This position is the operational lead for the new BC Ambulance contracts within a 703-704 operation.

Qualifications:
• Valid Airline Transport Pilot License (Aero plane) and a valid Instrument Rating,
• Valid Category 1 aviation medical with no restrictions,
• Valid Canadian passport,
• Type rating for two of the types of aircraft operated at Carson Air;
• 3000 hours on fixed wing aircraft, with 1000 hours as PIC
• 1000 hours on conventional multi engine fixed wing aircraft, with 500 hours as PIC
• 500 hours of mountain flying experience in designated mountainous areas
• 250 hours as PIC within the preceding 3 years on the same category and class of aircraft being operated at Carson Air;
• 2 years related supervisory experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of the content of the Company Operations Manual, Training Manuals, Standard Operating Procedures, Company Check Pilot Manual, and the provisions of the Regulations and Standards necessary to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the position;
• No convictions under subsection 7.3(1) of the Aeronautics Act; or two or more convictions, occurring during separate unrelated events, under the Canadian Aviation Regulations.
• Willing to work at satellite bases for short periods of time,
• Willing to be on call 24/7 and available for short notice aircraft repositioning,
• Aviation diploma preferred
• Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail
• Demonstrated computer skills and familiarity with Internet
• Strong oral and written communication skills
