Job Description:
- Assist the Quality Technician to audit contracted Approved Maintenance Organization (AMOs) or repair agencies that perform maintenance on company aircraft and/or components in accordance with the requirements of the manual.
- Troubleshoot and investigate problem and missing paperwork
- Submission of major repair/modification report per CAR 571.12 to the Manager, Quality Assurance and subsequently Transport Canada
- Perform surveillance to ensure maintenance departments are continually meeting policies and procedures as per MPM, MCM and CARs
- Submission of SDRs to Transport Canada
- Submission of Annual Airworthiness Report to Transport Canada
- Issuance and maintenance of employee's stamps
- Ensure that aircraft records and historical data are maintained in accordance with the requirements of MPM, MCM and CARs
- Ensure company MEL is up to date
- Perform on site audits to maintenance personnel while performing regular maintenance and/or performing modifications to an aircraft, days or nights
- Review and create all MRB, MPD and ALI items is RAAS
- Actively participate in Porter's Safety Management System (SMS) including, reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understand, comply and promote the Company Safety Policy
- Other duties as assigned
- Two years' experience in the aviation industry is an asset
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Must have thorough knowledge of the ATA numbering system
- Must have excellent technical writing skill
- Able to multitask and meet deadlines
- Must be available for shift work throughout hours of operation
