Field trips provide great experience for students to see first hand how principles addressed in the classroom are applied at an airport. The Aviation Operations students are very fortunate to benefit from a great deal of support from the Vancouver Airport Authority. Last week, several students from Airport Operations Class 16 were able to look behind the scenes at the food and beverage/retail operation at YVR. The pictures, supplied by Viki Wei, were taken post security in the international terminal. In addition, an airside tour allowed them to see the operation of an airport from a perspective that most people never have the chance to experience.
The students are all very grateful for the insights they gain from these wonderful opportunities.
