AIR SERVICE DEVELOPMENT ANALYST

Halifax Stanfield International Airport (HSIA) Atlantic Canada's principal airport, serving 3.6 million passengers per year. DUTIES:
The Air Service Development Analyst is responsible for the projections critical to air service development, preparation of aeronautical and air service revenue forecasting and analysis and for providing information to the cross functional areas who require information on aeronautical revenue analysis and aviation analysis and forecasting. Analyzing and summarizing the impact of the global economic environment on air service is also a critical part of the role. The position entails management of the Airport Authority’s Air Carrier Operator’s Agreement portfolio, providing customer service to air carriers and internal customers and for providing input into the economic growth of HIAA and the community.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Undergraduate degree in Aviation, Commerce/Business Administration with specialization in Finance, Statistics, Management Accounting or Marketing Research & Analysis
  • A minimum of two years experience in an airport or airline environment in the areas of aviation forecasting and analysis
  • Knowledge of Aviation Industry data and software such as Sabre / MIDT, Profile Essentials, ADI, RDC and OAG
  • Knowledge of the evolving airline industry and its current trends and developments
  • Knowledge of accounting practices and procedures, economic forecasting and analysis, aviation statistics and forecasting
  • Knowledge of legislative, regulatory and international treaty/bi-lateral agreement standards for international air services and the setting of aviation related rates and charges
  • Knowledge Microsoft Office applications (Access, PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a team
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strategic working relationships with internal departments and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities within a dynamic and changing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and follow-up
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, monitor information and maintain a high standard of attention to detail
