New Posting - Pacific Coastal

Pacific Coastal Airlines has an exciting opportunity in the Flight Operations Department in the role of Training Coordinator. Reporting to the Manager, Training and Standards, the Training Coordinator provides specific support to the Training and Standards Manager for the following:


 Management of flight crew records;
 Planning of Simulator and Aircraft Crew Training and Ground School schedules;
 Planning and coordination of Flight Crew travel for the purpose of Training;
 Liaison with regulatory authorities and training facilities in the facilitation of training events;
 Organization and communication of training program requirements and schedules to all relevant trainers, Ground School instructors, flight crew, crew scheduler and operational management.

More specific duties include:
• Working with the Crew Scheduler to ensure that all training is scheduled and completed.
• Training Record Management – Amelia, currency and validating documentation.
• Creating simulator pairings and bookings.
• Creating and distributing SIM packages.
• Booking airfare, car rentals, and accommodation as needed.
• Assembling Per Diems.
• Creating and monitoring TSA accounts and approvals in conjunction with Training Facility.
• Ensuring that all licenses and medicals on file are current.
• Giving out fingerprint instructions, as required for NEW HIRES or NEW TYPE RATINGS.
• Creating training schedule for all ground schools.
• Coordinating ground schools.
• Booking Speakers or Instructors. Some ground schools require multiple presenters; the Training Coordinator would create the agenda.
• Providing Ground School trainer support.
• Providing Administrative support for the Chief Pilot(s) and Training and Standards Manager.
• Creating and tracking course attendance sheets.
• Assigning and tracking online training as required.
• Creating an annual Training Budget.

Qualifications:
• Familiarity with and/or ability to liaise with aviation regulators and facilities- eg. Transport Canada, Flight Safety International, Transportation Safety Administration (TSA).
• Familiarity and/or ability to coordinate communicate and make travel and hotel arrangements for flight crew travel to Training Facilities located in the Houston, Seattle and New York.
• Familiarity and/or ability to manage company pilot training records and currency requirements.
• MS Office products- Word, EXCEL, PPT, Access.
• Database programming and management.
• Record Keeping and Organization.
• Procedural document structuring and content.

Experience:
• 5-10 years in a corporate administrative capacity.
• Professional Record Keeping.
• Document Development and Control - Regulated Manuals.
• Planning and Scheduling.
• Aviation related businesses.
• Budget Planning and Tracking.
• Planning and program development.
• Meeting and Scheduling management.
• Communication -phone/email/internet.

Compensation: $40-$50k per year
