SunWing is currently recruiting a Ground Operations Coordinator in the Ground Operations Department at Toronto Airport. (Posting closes September 28, 2012)
The Ground Operations Coordinator is the person responsible in assisting the Ground Operations Manager in the effective day to day operation as it pertains to Ground Operations and activities for all stations. This includes the coordination of information and manuals, travel schedules, bulletins, memos, events, compiling and issuing reports and general communications pertaining to Ground Operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist in the administration of day to day operation of the airline with respect to commercial operations and performance.
• To execute assigned tasks that will improve performance and ensure that commercial and operational objectives are successful.
• To assist in all set-up, support and quality control of any special projects given or undertaken.
• Monitor and collect data for safety, on time performance and quality standards for suppliers of ground handling and supervision/representation.
• Provide administrative support to stations as it pertains to Sunwing Ground Operations.
• Amend training curriculum as instructed.
• Keep minutes for department meetings.
• Assist in operational set up of new and maintenance of existing stations.
• Review station reports and compile information for daily Operations meetings.
• Distribute and/or administer and keep records of Ground Handling Manual, Bulletins, Memos, Training Records, Travel Itineraries and any associated costs.
• Order, coordinate distribution and maintain inventory of station supplies.
• Various administrative tasks as assigned.
• Act as a liaison between other departments for operational queries.
• Act as a contact for suppliers for operational data.
• Maintenance and distribution of department manuals.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• The position requires flexibility to work off-business hours and overtime, including holidays.
• This position will require on-call status during off hours and weekends.
• 2 years airline experience or Post-Secondary education related to aviation.
• Strong verbal and written proficiency.
• Ability to handle tight deadlines, multi-task and be able to balance conflicting priorities.
• Must have an ability to embrace cultural diversity and develop a rapport with agencies.
• Must be able to respond to operational situations safely and efficiently.
• Proficiency in computer applications, such as Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel.
