POSITION: DANGEROUS GOODS COORDINATOR
SERVICE: FLIGHT OPERATIONS
TYPE OF WORK: FULL TIME PERMANENT
LOCATION: MONTREAL AND NUNAVIK TRAVEL
Responsibilities:
• Annually update the mandatory Dangerous Goods training courses as per Canadian TDGR, IATA and ICAO regulations. All courses plus Competency exams will be submitted timely to TC-A for approval;
• To provide AIL participants with initial and Recurrent training courses;
• Dangerous Goods Regulations Update;
• Dangerous Goods section of the FOM;
• Dangerous Goods Section of the FAM;
• Pilots, Dispatchers and Load Planners courses;
• Flight Attendants, Ticket Agents, Loaders and Ground handlers courses;
• Cargo acceptance staff (Cargo Agents) and shippers courses;
• Issuance of training certificates for all trainees;
• Answer occasional telephone inquiries from participants.
Qualifications
• Bilingual (French, English, written and spoken). Ability to speak Inuktitut is an asset;
• Previous experience in connection with transportation of DG by air;
• Knowledge of Transport Canada dangerous goods regulations is a definite asset;
• Flexibility in work schedule is mandatory.
Salary
The salary is determined in accordance with the company’s compensation policy.
