Boeing is currently recruiting an Employee Development Specialist (Training and Development Specialist)  Vacancy Number: 12-150 located in Winnipeg Manitoba

Position Overview:
  • Designs, develops and delivers course content and instructional materials for established learning objectives. Tests delivery environment and establishes system access requirements.
  • Conducts customer workplace coaching sessions to improve individual or group performance.
  • Assists in conducting a performance needs analysis and identifies performance improvements.
  • Maintains curriculum and courseware.
  • Gathers requirements data and assists in developing course content and instructional materials.
  • Assists in developing initial computing hardware and software requirements.
  • Tests delivery environment and establishes system access requirements.
  • Coordinates the deployment of assessment materials and responds to process questions. Tracks and reports completion metrics.
  • Gathers organizational materials and assists in identifying customer key business measures and objectives. Assists in conducting a performance needs analysis. Coordinates the deployment of development tools.
  • Provides research and guidance to internal customers relative to training and development options
  • Administers HRMS training and development software, MY Learning
  • Completes annual training plan for course requirements and updates training calendar.
  • Develop, submit and administer funding proposals with various government agencies.
  • Process Training and Development requests from various internal customers.
  • Process training Invoices for payment
  • Enter and update employee educational information and course documentation

Competencies:Should have working level knowledge of instructional principles and methodology (e.g. curriculum development, delivery, summary, assessment, remediation, motivation, engagement, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of Human Resource Software (i.e. People Soft)
  • Should have complete knowledge of learning objectives and styles (e.g., audio, kinesthetic, visual) to meet business goals and accommodate learning needs.
  • Prefer demonstrated proficiency in Project Management. Utilizing principles in planning training requirements relating to larger initiatives.
  • Prefer familiarity with the Parts/Airplane Certification cycle and Company (BCA) Quality Management System.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Should be adept in the use of personal computers and be able to work in a team environment.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Access.
  • Should be able to create and troubleshoot Web based courses
Education / Experience:
  • Must have a Canadian high school diploma or recognized equivalency.
  • Must have relevant post-secondary education (i.e. Human Resources, CACE, Bachelor of Education)
  • Prefer 1+ years related experience
  • Should have experience in a manufacturing or operations environment
