West Coast Resorts is a full service chain of fishing resorts that caters to the needs of individuals and corporate groups. We own and operate five remote fishing resort destinations as well as two small hotels in the Haida Gwaii. Our goal is to become the leading provider of British Columbia fishing adventures, eco-tourism, cultural tourism, and adventure travel – both on and off the water.
Job Overview:
As an In-Flight Representative, your job will involve helping with the regular check-in procedures on the ground at South Terminal Richmond, then you will be boarding the aircraft with our guests to Sandspit and will re-board the plane in Sandspit with the returning guests to Vancouver (There may be some other flying invloving short trips to Calgary or Edmonton at the start and end of the season). The focus of this position is to ensure appropriate information is provided to our guests, as well as to maintain an orderly system for dealing with guests on arrival and any issues or guest concerns related to their travel to and from the lodges.
Job Responsibilities On The Ground:
- Assisting with Check-In at Richmond South Terminal.
- Providing fishing licenses to all guests requiring one, ensuring speed and accuracy.
- Assist with distributing fish boxes in a friendly and organised manner.
- Arranging ground transportation for any guests requiring it
- Ensuring a professional and courteous image is portrayed at all times.
Directing guests in flight as to the operations upon landing into Sandspit including the co-ordination of Helicopters, directions to the Inn and onwards. On the return sector - directing guests to collect bags and fish, and assisting with any problems or issues.
Job Requirements Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- High school graduation; post-secondary education is an asset.
- Minimum 2 years customer service experience.
- Experience working in trourism industry is an asset.
- Ability to work in an extremley fast paced environment .
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision .
- Ability to work well in a team environment with a variety of individuals.
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude under pressure.
- Ability to take initiative to solve any potential problems before they occur.
- Ability to take control of large groups of people .
Other Requirements:
- Ability to do moderate to heavy lifting.
- Full season commitment from May 25th to Sep 5th every Wednesday and Sunday (from approx 6am to 6pm). Other availability may be requested during the season if available.
- Must have reliable vehicle to get to and from the airport (South Terminal, Richmond).
