Calm Air is seeking a highly motivated individual to support the Flight Operations department. Working within Calm Air’s Winnipeg based Systems Operations Control Centre (SOCC), Flight Operations Coordinators are essential to an integrated company communications process. Flight Operations Coordinators receive, seek out, disseminate and distribute information pertaining to normal and irregular flight operations. Flight Operations Coordinators work with Flight Dispatch, Sales, Commercial Operations, Crew Scheduling, Maintenance, Cargo and Operations Management in a coordination and support role.

DUTIES
• Monitor day-of-flight operations
• Schedule day to day flying operations
• Complete routine administrative tasks
• Proactively anticipate operational problems and effect appropriate mitigation plan
• React to irregular operations situations in accordance with written procedures
• Maintain effective communication with all operational departments
• Ensure resources and logistics are ready for upcoming operations
• Fully adopt and participate in the company’s safety management and QA activities
• Complete other projects or duties as assigned

HOURS OF WORK
• Full Time - Day, evening and weekend shifts
• Occasional overtime may be required
• Occasional travel may be required

QUALIFICATIONS
• Well organized, detail orientated, ability to multitask and manage time effectively
• Ability to prioritize
• Good judgement, ability to perform in pressure filled situations
• Proven ability to take initiative and work independently with limited supervision
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (computer knowledge and experience is essential)
• Experience in airline operations is required
• Ability to obtain and retain Restricted Area Identification Card
