ATS is currently recruiting a part-time Airport Concierge

SUMMARY:  Answer in-coming calls, enter customer bookings into computer system, meet and greet clients, assist with clients needs to ensure their travel arrangements are handled as scheduled in arrivals, departures or connecting flights. This position will report to the Assistant Manager.
 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES – Include the following, other duties may be assigned. 
  • Responsible for answering inbound calls in a timely and professional manner
  • Must be knowledgeable and explain all services offered.
  • Enter client data, process accurate and timely orders into computer system.
  • Resolve issues or problems in a timely professional manner.
  • Process schedule changes/cancellations and handle customer inquiries and complaints
  • Provide additional information to the Assistant Manager as needed.
  • Meet and greet clients at arrival, departure and/or assist through connecting flights.
  • Ensure client needs are attended to at all times, must think ‘out of the box’.
  • Identify information by categorizing, estimating, recognizing differences or similarities, and detecting changes in circumstances or events.
  • Remain calm throughout changes in circumstances beyond your control.
  • Ability to communicate information and ideas verbally and written so others will understand.
  • Competence to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions.
  • Familiarity of administrative and systems such as word processing, managing files and records.
  • Handle other duties as needed by the Assistant Manager.

 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be at least 18 years for age
  • Must be able to obtain security clearance with a Transport Canada background verification of the last 5 years.
  • Must possess a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Must be able to lift up to 32 kgs.
 BACKGROUND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be flexible to work various shifts, weekends, or irregular shifts.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have a minimum of two years customer service experience or relevant job experience.
  • Computer skills are required.
  • Preferred knowledge or understanding of airline industry and/or Vancouver International Airport.
  • Must present a professional businesslike image, have a high work ethic and commitment to excellence.
  • Must be able to stand, lift, bend and walk for extended periods of time.
