FUNCTION: The Station Manager - Montreal directs and coordinates airline station activities at the airport terminal in order to provide quality services for Porter’s scheduled flight operations. This position is based in Montreal and reports to the Director, Airport Operations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Directs the preparation of work schedules to obtain optimum utilization of human resources and facilities
• Coordinates activities of Customer Service Representatives and Ramp to ensure operations meet service levels and company policies / regulations
• Provides leadership and technical expertise as required
• Manages all third party contracts
• Prepares and reports statistics, documents and other administrative duties in connection with the operational requirements of the station
• Prepares and manages station budgets
• Evaluates training and performance records of employees to determine and formulate necessary training to increase employee efficiency and service levels through coaching and progressive discipline
• Actively participate in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS) including reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understand, comply and promote the Company Safety Policy
• Other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Solid airport/airline management background with a minimum of 7 years work experience
• Experience working within a unionized environment
• Proven organization and time management skills with the ability to multi-task in an environment with shifting priorities
• Able to work autonomously while possessing strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills (both verbally and in writing)
• Proven record in creating an engaged and effective work environment
• Demonstrated success in developing talent
• Demonstrated self-starter with a positive attitude
• Fluency in French would be an asset
• Knowledge of Navitaire system including Sky Speed and Sky Port or similar software
