TITLE: MANAGER – rouge crew

DEPARTMENT: In-Flight Service, Air Canada rouge

LOCATION: MISSISSAUGA

SCOPE: Under the direction of the Director, In-Flight Service, responsible for managing base performance of rouge crew from an administrative perspective

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for cabin crew performance and adherence to corporate, Transport Canada and Labour Canada policies & procedures and ensuring required follow-up with deficiencies
• Responsible for promoting & coaching Passport to Excellence
• Responsible for monitoring rouge crew absenteeism
• Responsible for identifying and tracking administrative process deficiencies for the resolution with other branches/departments as well as developing and implementing new base processes
• Foster strong working relationship with CUPE
• Responsible for tracking, monitoring and communicating all base cabin crew performance and follow-ups
• Responsible to ensure rouge crew adhere to the on-board sales procedures
• Coaching and developing direct reports i.e. In-flight Supervisors and Labour Relations issues
• Responsible for building and fostering harmonious relationships within the Air Canada rouge and Air Canada network


SAFETY AND REGULATORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Maintain safety as first topic day to day
• Assume any responsibilities delegated by the Director, In-Flight Service
• In person’s absence, all responsibilities for duties are delegated to another qualified individual
• Keep abreast of corporate initiatives and communications
• Establish and maintain Business Processes and Procedures for the position
• Follow Risk Assessment Management for change or introduction of equipment, processes and procedures
• Follow document retention guidelines

CARs (Canadian Aviation Regulations)
SMS (Safety Management System)
Health & Safety – Basic


KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Three (3) to five (5) years of In-Flight experience in a management role within a commercial airline;
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred with a background in Communication;
• Proficiency in English required with French an asset;

Delegation of Authority:
During times of absence this position will delegate all safety related responsibilities to the Director – In Flight Service.
