A vacancy exists within Flight Operations for a Line Checking Scheduler (UNIFOR), reporting to the General Manager, Crew Scheduling.
This position is currently located in Mississauga, across from Pearson International Airport. It will be relocated to our new Operations Centre in Brampton, at 401 and Mississauga Road effective January, 2014. 

This position is responsible for processing training plans or changes to training plans for pilots in recurrent and transition training in accordance with contractual and Company regulations for all Air Canada operations.

JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Processing OE (line check) plans in NETLINE.
  • Rescheduling pilots in NETLINE for OE’s, QOE’s, IOE’s and simulator. 
  • Processing training related displacements.
  • Booking pilots on familiarization flights.
  • Processing jump seat requests.
  • Assisting with hotel, transportation and deadhead bookings.
  • Send APIS messages as required
  • Process Australia Crew daily  
  • Process $10 hotel stipends
  • Notify pilots of pairing changes or cancellations as it relates to training
  • Liaise with Fleet Efficiency Managers and Senior Flight Instructors to ensure efficient scheduling of pilots in training as per Training Department policies, CARs and the Collective Agreement.
  • Maintain simulator schedule entries in Netline, ATLAS, and FACTS.
  • Maintain proficiency and knowledge of all relevant policies, procedures and rules and regulations. 
  • Other related duties as assigned 


 

Qualifications

 
REQUIREMENTS
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational skills and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong analytical skills. 
  • Strong PC skills
  • Ability to work shift work.
  • Ability to work under pressure without close supervision. 
  • Previous airline operational experience, an asset.
