JOB TITLE: Commercial
& Retail Development Coordinator
The Calgary Airport Authority is a not-for-profit non share capital
corporation, responsible for the management, maintenance, operation and
development of the Calgary International Airport and Springbank Airport under
long-term leases from the Government of Canada
The Role, Permanent Full-Time
Reporting to the Director, Commercial & Retail Development, this
position is responsible for the following primary duties:
- · Supervises the Commercial & Retail Development Assistant to ensure timely assistance to the Commercial & Retail Development Department for all property management initiatives and day to day tenant monitoring.
- · Manages the Spaceport operation to ensure efficient and timely delivery of the program. Spaceport is a unique airport space and technology educational entertainment facility open to children of all ages. Duties include: directing the third party contracted service, developing marketing initiatives, authorizing and coordinating special events, preparation of capital project submissions, maintenance and managing the BCM budget.
- · Manages and monitors the day to day requirements of the Attractions Alberta program, and ensures its maintenance, redevelopment and redeployment as required.
- · Provides coordination and other supplementary assistance to the Director, Commercial & Retail Development in property management initiatives, BCM budget input, monitoring and annual budget preparation, day to day tenant monitoring, and coordinating special events as required.
- · On an annual basis, coordinates and determines requirements for, sources and supervises the Summer Student position(s) on behalf of the department.
Basic Requirements
- · Previous experience in working with leases and a commercial properties leasing system.
- · Experience in and knowledge of legal requirements and insurance clauses as they relate to commercial properties lease agreements.
- · Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Photoshop.
- · Strong written communication skills in order to write reports, correspondence, craft agreement clauses, specifications, and RFP’s.
- · Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, with the ability to reflect a positive impression of the Authority to deliver on departmental initiatives.
- · Ability to work well in both a team and individual environment and effective at leading and training others.
- · Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to deal with a variety of stakeholders.
