New Posting - Sky Regional

The Inflight Regulatory and Standards Specialist will directly report to the Manager of Cabin Safety and Training and is responsible to assist in the development of regulatory training programs.

Major Responsibilities: 
• Maintain current knowledge of the CARs, Flight Attendant Training Standard, CBAACs and NPAs;
• Assist in development of programing and/or amendments for Flight Attendant Initial Training, Requalification Training, Recurrent Training; Pilot EPT Training, First Aid Training, Crew Resource Management program;
• Assist in developing training manuals and workbooks;
• Provide training leadership, and coaching to Cabin Crew; 
• Assist in the supervision of cabin crewmembers in matters of safety, adherence to regulations, providing remedial training;
• Assist in revising, auditing and publishing regulatory documents (FAM, Safety Bulletins, Safety Reminders);
• Assist with implementation and maintenance with document control;
• Q&A of Training Programs, once developed by the training department;
• Audit of training files, training processes and procedures;
• Assist with classroom monitors;
• Complete line checks;
• Complete gate checks;
• Assist with Aircraft and Ramp Inspections;
• Assist in the development and auditing of internal processes, policies and procedures;
• Assist with SMS investigations;
• Assist and monitor implementation of online forms;
• Assist and monitor implementation of IPAD use for flight attendants with online FAM;
• Implementation of and maintaining a means of communication with the flight attendants – either a blog, training page, newsletter to discuss issues, comments and concerns expressed by F/As and pilots in the classrooms, through SMS reports or emails;
• Other duties as assigned by the Manager of Cabin Safety and Training.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong understanding of CARs regulations
• Excellent computer skills: MSOffice (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access and Outlook.) 
• Strong communication skills

Education/Work Experience
• Previous experience in an Inflight safety and or training role is an asset.
• Authorized to work in Canada and travel without restrictions to the United States.
