Sunwest Aviation Ltd. currently has an opportunity available for a Flight Coordinator within our Flight Operations Department. Reporting to the Manager, Flight Attendants, the position is responsible for performing the duties and responsibilities which include, but are not limited to, the following: • Arrange all aspects of charter flight bookings including aircraft, catering, U.S. and Foreign Customs, ground transportation, hotel accommodations, other services • Utilize current dispatch program and quoting system to provide information to clients and to book and confirm flights • Prepare and provide aircraft quotes to existing and potential clients • Obtain and maintain passenger information for all flights • Re-arrange flights as required for normal and irregular operations • Maintain accurate and up to date files on all assigned clients • Follow-up with clients after flight • Maintain a professional and friendly relationship with assigned clients and follow company customer care programs • Assist Billing Coordinator (as necessary) to resolve issues related to invoicing of trips • Track and document turn down trips and cancellations • Attend regular Flight Coordinator meetings and other related meetings • Generate Monthly Reports to specific clients, as required • Occasionally be available on an on-call basis to assist Logistics with client communication and irregular operations • Other related duties as required The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications and competencies. In addition personality profiling will be required of all candidates granted an interview for this position. • High school diploma • Minimum 2 years of flight coordinating, travel coordinating or general customer service experience considered an asset • Hard-working self-starter • Must be a team player • Possess a professional appearance • Strong communication skills, with pleasant and efficient telephone etiquette • Ability to work in a fast pace, continually changing environment • Ability to get along with coworkers and work both on an individual and team basis • Complete work assignments by deadline, which may require you to stay late on occasion • Excellent multi-tasking skills required • Maintain confidentiality • This position is scheduled for a 40 hour week, 0500 – 1400 Monday to Thursday, and 0800 – 1700 Friday, with 1 hour assigned for lunch; however, some flexibility is required with this schedule for occasional weekend and evening duties to meet clients’ needs, and occasional overtime may be required All interested candidates should visit the Career Centre at www.sunwestaviation.ca to complete an on-line application form for the noted opportunity.
