POSITION: Station Support
DEPARTMENT: Commercial Operations
REPORTING TO: Airport Services Manager
LOCATION: Toronto, ON
POSTING DATE: December 4, 2013
CLOSING DATE: December 18, 2013

The person responsible for Station Support assists the respective Area Managers in the effective day to day operations and activities for all stations with the exception of Toronto and the province of Quebec. This position requires flexibility to work off-business hours and overtime, including holidays, and it will require on-call status during off hours and weekends. Travel is required for the position.


The person providing Station Support will be responsible for the following in the specified Region:
• Monitor Safety, On Time Performance, and Quality Standards for suppliers of Ground Handling and Representation services in airports (Suppliers)
• Provide operational support to our Suppliers
• Analyze station reports to ensure accuracy and address operational challenges 
• Maintain an audit program with scheduled and non scheduled audits and all follow up
• Create and maintain detailed reports pertaining to Airport Revenue (i.e. Excess Baggage) and OTP
• Track delays and facilitate the delay handling process
• Investigate SMS incidents and provide appropriate follow up
• Review billing 
• Assist in operational set up of new stations
• Mark trends and contribute ideas for efficiency planning
• Collaborate with and support other departments with corporate policy
• Various administrative duties as assigned

Station Support will also assist in the oversight of Stations (airport operations), including ad-hoc or seasonal programs to:
• Provide Ground Handlers support to understand our SOPs
• Ensure Regulatory compliance
• Keep detailed statistics on Revenue
• Ensure Quality Control is in place and detailed records kept 
• Understand the billing process and be able to review invoices

QUALIFICATIONS:
Post Secondary Education in Aviation Management or equivalent Aviation experience 
• Minimum of three years Airport Operations experience considered an asset
• Comprehensive knowledge of IATA and ICAO standards
• Flexibility of schedule and willingness to commit personal time
• Strong verbal and written proficiency
• Ability to handle tight deadlines, multi-task and be able to balance conflicting priorities
• Technical bookkeeping/budgeting skills an asset
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products
• Organized and accurate, with an attention to detail
