Canadian North is currently recruiting a Director, Sales and
Marketing to be based in either Calgary or Edmonton
The
Director, Sales & Marketing reporting directly to the Vice President, Sales
& Marketing, is responsible for national sales strategy and operations to
grow traffic across our scheduled network. Primary to the role is building
strong, professional relationships with business and community leaders, as well
as industry clients and corporate accounts, across Canada. The incumbent will be
responsible for the management and development of the Sales team, Call Centres,
and Marketing team as well as the creation and execution of campaigns targeted
at increasing passenger traffic.
Responsibilities Include:
•
Develop strategies for maximizing passenger and revenue and growth
• Develop
and execute Corporate Sales strategy
• Oversee Reservations Centre Manager
and Call Centre performance
• Develop business plans with budget estimates,
objectives, and measurable initiatives
• Liaise with Revenue Management and
Pricing to ensure activities are aligned and revenue growth is maximized
•
Create a framework that provides direction, support, training and motivation to
Sales managers
• Work collaboratively with VP, Sales and Marketing to provide
direction and support to the Marketing team
• Analyze and report on
commercial data and competitive intelligence
• Demonstrate knowledge of
employee responsibilities regarding safety and actively participate in the
Company’s Safety Management System program
• Other duties as
assigned
Qualifications & Education:
• An airline Sales
professional with a minimum of 10 years of experience
• Post-secondary
degree in marketing, communications, and/or business administration
• Strong
background in Marketing, Promotions and Events with a minimum of 7-10 years of
experience
• Proven accomplishments in developing Sales strategy and growth
initiatives
• Demonstrated application of Marketing strategies
• Proven
negotiation skills
• Exceptional written and presentation skills
•
Excellent organization skills
• Northern experience, considered an
asset
• Ability to travel domestically frequently
• Must be legally
eligible to work in Canada with no stipulations
