Job Description:
Sales Support Coordinator (Accessory Division)

MTU Maintenance Canada is the North American member of the MTU Maintenance
network of companies, the largest independent provider of commercial engine
maintenance services worldwide. The company operates a shop in the immediate
vicinity of Vancouver's international airport where it repairs and overhauls
engines and accessories and performs engine tests.

Scope
The Sales Support Coordinator is responsible as the liaison between External
Sales department, Customer Support department and internal production and
logistics areas as it relates to cost estimates, invoicing, shop visit costs
and customer requirements. Typical duties include creating or supporting cost
estimates and interfacing with engineering and production areas for appropriate
inputs in order to support the proposal process and generate new business for
the A.R.C. Additional duties include the collection, review and update of
specific cost assumptions in order to build up and maintain an internal cost
database.


Responsibilities
•Evaluate request for proposals (RFPs) under strategic boundaries and MTU
capabilities
•Intense communication with the Hanover Sales Organization (SM) in order to
maximize success rate through proposal customization
•Request and collect data/assumptions from internal departments and external
sources
•Evaluate assumptions, provide costing input and support business case
development
•Collect sign-off on commitments
•Discuss contract terms and conditions and provide as proposal input
•Provide risk/opportunity assessment, recommendation and request contract
approval
•Understand market developments and give feedback into organization
•Identify opportunities with the Sales Directors for market demands, key parts,
sales channels, and selling of accessory and engine parts and services.
•Assist and lead creation of business cases to define and justify benefits of
resulting inventory and parts investments
•Develop reports and proposals as part of sales presentations to illustrate
benefits from use of goods or services.
•Coordinate with Accessory Engineering, Supply Chain, and Sales to identify and
develop business relationships and opportunities.
•Perform market evaluations to determine a need for new products, existing
product modification or changes to the organization's strategy.
•Maximize value and return from invested capital. Assist in monitoring and
limiting inventory levels to amounts agreed within business cases to ensure
turnover requirements are met.


Corporate and Position Specific Competencies
•Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of general aviation and
maintenance/repair/overhaul (MRO) topics and practices
•Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of the MTU business portfolio
•Intermediate knowledge of MTU Global policies, practices and regulations
•Advanced knowledge of policies, practices and regulations as well as aviation
specific requirements in respect to gas turbine engine accessories
•Advanced knowledge of accessory types and related manuals

Qualification
Education:
Bachelor/University degree in a Business or Technical related area and 1-4
years experience, preferable in an aviation environment directly with an
airline or MRO company

IT:
Intermediate knowledge with Microsoft Operation System Windows 7
Intermediate knowledge with MS Office 2010 (advanced MS Excel skills)
