This position is ideal for someone who wishes to participate in a project
office in the largest and most complex municipal construction project in
Calgary’s history located at the Airport. This project provides exposure to and
mix of several dynamic elements including technology, architecture, engineering,
and airport operations.

The Administrator must:
- Have a mix of skill and interest in technology, architecture, engineering and construction.
- Be able to read technical drawings, blueprints and technical specifications
- Be able to quickly grasp concepts and processes

- The review of technical drawings and specifications for technology systems
- Coordinate and perform reviews of technical designs
- Track and manage specific change requests and changes within the project. This includes: Change Orders (CO), Request for Information (RFI), and system designs.
- Perform vendor coordination and management duties as required
- Gather, create, coordinate and document system elements and project history
- Contribute to meeting minutes and formal project document tracking.
- Coordinate and sometimes participate in architectural, designer reviews, and client and vendor meetings
- Work with commissioning agents and / or other activation players for facility readiness
- Formally document and record technical results, concept reviews
- Participate in request for proposals, procurement, delivery and contractual delivery exercises.
- Participate and contribute to on-site construction visits and reviews
- Gather and create formal project and system documentation
- Other project duties as and when required
- Post secondary diploma or degree in Business, Engineering or Technical
discipline preferred.
- Having obtained or working towards obtaining a professional project management designation (PMP, CAPM) is a plus.
- Have some experience working with project management tasks
- Strong written, verbal and presentation skills in English are required
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must have strong computer and system skills as a user
- Must be able to attend a number of safety programs and adhere to safety policies
- Must be able to obtain a workplace hazardous materials certificate. (WHMIS)
- Must be able to clear a background and security check.
