GardaWorld is one of the largest security screening service providers at a number of airports across Canada, ranging from the biggest airport to some of the smallest. We work in a public-private partnership to ensure the safety and security of the travelling public.

Garda Security Solutions has been selected by The Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA) (www.catsa-acsta.gc.ca) to provide pre-board security screening in selected airports. We aim to provide the best possible passenger experience to the travelling public.

GardaWorld is currently hiring a Performance Manager for the Calgary Airport.

Position Description
Reporting to the General Manager, the Performance Manager is responsible for managing the performance of the Screening Officers in their designated region.

Major Accountabilities / Responsibilities includes, but are not limited to the following:
· Assess, observe, investigate and if required correct individuals Screening Officer’s performance and compliance with CATSA’s SOPs and GardaWorld’s Quality Management System
· Investigate and address all CATSA or GardaWorld HRI/HRO events
· Develop, track and implement Training Improvement Plans (TIP)
· In conjunction with Training and Development complete probationary (30/60/90/180/360 and annual review) Performance Partnership Reviews (PPR) with assigned groups of Screening Officers
· Observe and provide coaching, correction and overall feedback to Screening Officers
· Issue discipline including verbal warning, one/three/five day suspensions
· Contribute to GardaWorld Effectiveness Plan (GEP)
· Provide nominees for GardaStars and Top Gun programs
· Track, trend and report on Screening Officer performance management programs; i.e. HRI events and results
· Monitor Screening Officer absenteeism and conduct interviews with those on the Regional Attendance Management Program

Background (Education/Licenses/Work Experience):
· Post-secondary education in a relevant field (e.g. business/commerce, business management, etc.) OR equivalent combination of education and experience
· 3 - 5 years’ experience in a related field
· Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite specifically in Excel and Access
· Proven experience of managing teams

· Strong and proven Leadership and Management Skills
· Excellent communication skills at all levels
· Strong influencing and negotiating skills that promote commitment to action
· Strong team player with a positive and flexible approach to develop teams
· Excellent proven problem solving skills
· Successful completion of management courses; include but not limited to:
o Management Essentials
o SOF version 2.0
o SOF TTT
o HBS Management Qualification course

· Analytical, detail oriented and technically astute
· Self-motivated, with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment
· Easily adaptable to change and must embrace new challenges
· Professional demeanour with ability to develop cooperative working relationships in all areas of the business
