New Posting - Slate Falls Airways

Looks like a last minute opening has cropped up here at Slate Falls Airways. If you are a low-time float pilot looking to get into the industry, and who isn't afraid of some hard work or the opportunity to prove yourself, please email us a resume! While this is just a seasonal, non-flying gig, opportunities exist to move onward and upwards on floats and/or winter wheel/ski flying if you can prove yourself to be safe, motivated and eager to learn.

The right person will get a Cessna 206 PCC and about 25 hours, in addition to right-seating when an extra hand is needed somewhere. Should there not be an opening this winter or the following season, a good summer here should make you pretty employable next year. You'll gain experience in a busy charter float operation as well as the opportunity to take responsibility for various aspects of our operations.

Your Job: Dockhand. Loading, pumping, moving, hauling, fueling, stacking, sweeping, scrubbing, shuttling, etc.
Schedule: long days. However, you'll average a day off per week over the course of a season. At least 3 in 30.
Salary: $30,000 / year plus vacation pay. If your math isn't too strong, that's $1,250 semi-monthly before the tax man gets you.
Season: ASAP until end of October.

What you need:

Commercial Pilot Licence and a seaplane rating.
A good attitude, strong work ethic, ability to operate a computer, iPod and satellite tracker.
An uncanny ability to arrive at work on time.
An equally uncanny ability to show initiative.
An exceptional level of professionalism: appearance and manner.
A commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
The ability to read this ad. Please do not apply if you don't meet all of the above.

If you meet the above and think you're our guy (or gal!) I invite you to send me an email:matt.cairns@slatefallsair.com
