Southeast Aviation is currently looking for a full time Airport Operations Technician to work as part of a team to provide a wide variety of services to aircraft and the public during daily airport operations. This person must be a self starter and be able to work independently, and have a willingness to learn. This is a career position with room for training and advancement.
Valuable skills required for this position are:
- Being familiar with operating and servicing of machinery.
- Good problem solving skills and being self motivated.
- Ability to work with the public.
- Be able to lift 40lbs.
- Has experience with, or be willing to learn basic billing and reporting.
- Good communication skills in English.
- Class 5 drivers licence with drivers abstract.
- Any airport or aircraft experience is a valuable asset but employer is willing to train the right applicant.
Regular tasks include but are not limited to:
- Airport inspections including light airport maintenance.
- Towing aircraft, re-fuelling aircraft, along with billing and sales.
- Working with and supervision of contractors and other city employees.
- Airport operations work including snow removal and basic runway light inspections.
- Working with Aircraft Maintenance Engineers doing light maintenance.
- Other tasks as assigned by manager.
