The Calgary Airport Authority is a
not-for-profit non share capital corporation, responsible for the management,
maintenance, operation and development of the Calgary International Airport and
Springbank Airport under long-term leases from the Government of Canada

Our Airfield Equipment Operators work in a tight team and operate a wide range of unique equipment used to maintain our airfield surfaces, grounds and facilities. In winter, the primary focus of the role is often snow removal and de-icing of the runways and aprons. Other work will vary depending on need and will likely include:

Repairing airfield
surfaces, grounds and facilities; this could include anything from fences to
roadways
·
A variety of
landscape and drainage projects as well as extensive grass cutting
·
Painting and line
painting in projects when required
·
Ensuring equipment
is always ready to roll by completing minor equipment maintenance
·
Providing support
to other Airfield roles when needed with the inspection of and evaluation of
surfaces and bird and wildlife control.
We work in a physically demanding and safety-sensitive environment so it is essential that you adhere to safe working procedures as well as successfully pass a pre-employment medical which includes drug and alcohol testing. You will also need to be required to obtain and maintain a valid Airside Vehicle Operator’s Permit (AVOP), Firearms Acquisition Certificate and a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC).
In return for your efforts you’ll receive:

$29.50 plus a range of generous shift and overtime premiums
