Exploits Valley Air Services is currently recruiting a Flight Follower/Dispatcher

Job Description: We are currently seeking qualified individuals to fill available full-time positions located in Gander, NL. As a Flight Follower you will be expected for assisting in planning, directing, coordinating and communicating all aspects of EVAS’s aircraft operations. This is a career position with long term perspectives in flight operations management from the ground that will NOT lead to a flying position. EVAS offers health and travel benefits.

Roles and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Consulting and communicating with all departments to ensure operations run smoothly and efficiently
• Ensuring scheduling given by the appropriate department for aircraft and crew is met with any changes being communicated accordingly
• Carry out flight following, flight planning, monitoring weather, entering of all times into Netline and answering phone calls and radio calls from crews.
• Completing various reports
• Perform all other duties as assigned 

Education and Experience
• Valid Air Operator Radio Operator License 
• Minimum Grade 12 diploma
• Previous knowledge in aviation and flight coordination is preferred
• Capability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment
• Ability to think critically and act logically to evaluate situations and provide sound judgment
• Ability to qualify for Gander International Airport Security Pass
• Successful completion of the Transport Canada Dispatch examinations is an asset
• Ability to read and interpret aviation weather is an asset
• Computer literate with Knowledge of Microsoft Office software is an asset

The Company: EVAS Air has been operating as a tier III Express Carrier for Air Canada since 2004, operating scheduled flights on their behalf throughout Newfoundland, Labrador and the Maritimes utilizing a Beechcraft 1900D, 18 passenger aircraft. In addition to flying our Air Canada Express flights and freight service, we also provide a 24/7 Charter Service utilizing our fleet size of 10.
