Menzies Aviation is a global provider of passenger, ramp and cargo handling services operating at 150 stations in 32 countries With the continued rapid growth and development of our Canadian operation an opportunity has arisen for an experienced human resources professional to join our Toronto based management team. The position will hold responsibility for HR matters in Toronto as well as our other Canadian operations (Montreal, Calgary and Vancouver).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develops and administer HR?IR policies and practices in accordance with stated corporate objectives as well as ensuring compliance with federal and provincial legal requirements.
- Review employee relation issues, promote positive employee relations environment and recommend appropriate actions to management
- Analyze data, prepare reports, and make recommendations on a variety of HR/IR issues.
- Establish and manage training programs, performance appraisal processes, compensation structures and administer employee benefit programs.
- Manage employee orientation, disciplinary, development and recognition programs.
- Assigns duties and monitor quality of work of HR administrative staff;
- Keep up to date on operational activities and identifying potential HR/IR problem areas and corrective actions needed.
Required Skills:
- 5-7 years experience in Human Resources equivalent Generalist experience;
- Thorough knowledge of the Canadian HR/IR laws and regulations;
- Working knowledge of data collection, date analysis, and evaluation;
- Demonstrated proficiency in collaboraitvely working with management in matrix structure
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills;
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team or committee;
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other HR related databases;
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet project deadlines;
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to deal effectively with all levels of the company organization;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Flexible and willing to work in a constantly changing environment.
