The Vancouver Airport Authority has a full-time, term (one year) opportunity for a Legal Counsel in the Legal Services Department.

Key responsibilities include:

Reporting to the Director, Legal Services & Legal Counsel, the successful candidate will:

• Advise on a wide range of contractual matters with a focus on industrial, retail and office leasing, as well as land development
• Provide sound, timely advice on all aspects of commercial transactions
• Assess risk management issues, as well as environmental, regulatory and airline industry issues
• Guide and oversee outside counsel

Key qualifications include:

You are a savvy, business minded lawyer with:

• 3 to 6 years of relevant experience at a corporate/commercial law firm or in-house legal department
• Experience in industrial, retail and office leasing, as well as land development
• Strong analytical skills
• Customer service focused with the ability to proactively develop strong business relationships with a variety of stakeholders
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage a variety of projects at one time and balance conflicting priorities
